Shufflemate was an independent eCommerce project I launched through CRWFRD Digital as a self-directed challenge to further develop my skills in eCommerce platform management, SEO tagging, CMS usage, and digital storefront optimization. After building LumiOrb, I wanted to apply lessons learned while testing new approaches to web structure, keyword implementation, and backend workflow.
Problem
Unlike my previous launch, Shufflemate was designed as a hands-on learning environment focused on improving site-building fluency, SEO fundamentals, and CMS navigation without the pressure of immediate performance metrics. The goal was to strengthen technical marketing skills while experimenting with product presentation, metadata tagging, and user experience improvements within an eCommerce context.
Outcome
Through Shufflemate, I deepened my practical knowledge of Shopify’s CMS, learned to apply SEO tagging strategies at both product and page levels, and improved my approach to eCommerce content design iteration. This project enhanced my ability to build cleaner, more search-friendly storefronts while refining backend workflows for product updates, category management, and content optimization. It demonstrated my commitment to continuous improvement, hands-on experimentation, and self-directed skill growth as a digital marketer.
